Thermometers

We created some thermometers.

We used :

- water

- a small container with a lid

- a straw

- food coloring

- silicone

First we made a hole into the lid. Then we fixed the straw in the hole with silicone.

We filled the container up to the top with red water.

We tried our thermometers inside and outside !

Weather in Latvia

Dear partners,

This Friday morning in Latvia has been the coldest in the last four years

since February 2012.All the cold records have been broken.In the night of Thursday-Friday, some weather stations reported breaking the lowest temperature record of January 8, according to Latvian environment, geology and meteorolgy centre. The new record is -30.6 degrees Celsium.

Due to this low temperature, children are allowed to stay at home.

Winter has finally come to Latvia.

Winter has finally come to Latvia. The lowest temperature at last night in Latvia was in Dobele. According to the meteorological information air cooled to - 17 degrees.
