OLOIMERO DIMOTIKO SHOLIO VERDIKOUSSAS
Our Primary School in
the village of Verdikoussa,
is located in a rural and mountainous region
in
central Greece (at an altitude of about 980m).
The village is 64 km from the
city of Larissa,
which is the capital of Thessaly.
Our school was built in 1927,
it is an old building with six classrooms.
This year 49 students are attending the
school (ages 7-12).

Thermometers
We created some thermometers.
We used :
- water
- a small container with a lid
- a straw
- food coloring
- silicone
We filled the container up to the top with red water.

Weather in Latvia
Dear partners,
This Friday morning in Latvia has been the coldest in the last four years
since February 2012.All the cold records have been broken.In the night of Thursday-Friday, some weather stations reported breaking the lowest temperature record of January 8, according to Latvian environment, geology and meteorolgy centre. The new record is -30.6 degrees Celsium.
Due to this low temperature, children are allowed to stay at home.
